Hey Guys,

Sorry for the late reply. Summer time is a busy time for me and I am not around my computer as much as normal.

The last prototype that I was working with had a mirror Radius of 240mm. This is the measurement that gauges the 'roundness' of the surface of the mirror.

After testing it for a week, I wasn't happy with the view it gave me, so we went back to the drawing boards and re-styled the design to accommodate a mirror with a Radius of 200mm (the smaller the number, the more curved the surface).

That prototype just shipped to me by my Manufacturer today, and I should have it at the end of the week. The good news is, the shape of this 2nd Generation mirror is already nailed down and it fits in the outside corner, perfectly. We simply just need to work on the surface radius to make sure we get an adequate view.

I believe I posted this picture before, but here is what the 2nd Generation Mirror will look like, except more curved.

Wade

Does it have to fit at top or can they be put at bottom of mirror?

RodRam,

They will also fit in the lower corner. I haven't installed them in that position to check what the view is, but since it is a perfectly round surface, I imagine the view wouldn't change.

Hello everyone! Good news, I have solidified the final design and we are now going forward in making the tooling to produce the corner blind spot mirror. We really stretched the envelope in getting the most curvature in a small amount of space, but we made it...and the blind spot mirror works great!

I am attaching a picture that I took last night. Not the best picture, but have you ever tried to take a picture of your mirror going down the freeway? Not the best idea.

The schedule shows it should be ready in November.

Wade

I'm definitely in for getting a set for my mirrors. I've complained before about our trucks not having a convex mirror portion.

Looks like it's been a couple of weeks... just checking in.

Thank you for checking in, EagleChief.

To follow up, yes...I am guessing they won't be available until November, but things are going pretty smoothly, so I dare say they may be available next month.

The packaging design has been finalized and the molds are almost complete for the product itself. Samples should start being run either tomorrow, or the first of next week. If all goes well, we will be in full production in 2 weeks.

Thank you for checking in. I am as excited as everyone to get these in my hand!

Wade
