One thing I forgot to add is the flap over the passenger airbag area is free to allow the airbag to deploy in case of an accident. None of the other dash-mats I looked at had that feature. Might be important or not to you but between the great fit, and the safety of the passenger airbag, makes me glad I spent the money.

Good morning

That reallllly is sweet, this thread has convinced me to buy the same dash cover as yours, I have a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 and the dash while parked has always been protected with windshield screens and is in perfect condition but I plan on never selling my Ram, may as well ensure the dash stays that way, thanks for the pictures.

Covercraft was having a sale at the time and I saved an additional 10% off the order price. It was ordered on June 24th and came to just over $64 inc shipping. The discount code was EVERYDAY. It was delivered on Aug 10th. So June 24 order to Aug 10th received. About 6 weeks.

Salty Ram: Not sure how to describe the material. Please look at the close up of the ultimat label. You can see the weave of the material. It will stick to velcro so the supplied attachment velco strips will work just fine. I didn't put any velcro down because it fits so well, I'm going to just play it by ear. If the mat moves, I'll secure it with a couple of strips, but so far so good.

I checked it again today, and I believe that it has conformed even better. I took these pics to show the 'tray' conforming and the defroster vent area as well. This is an amazingly good fit in my opinion with no velcro.

The material is similar/identical to automotive carpet.

The carhartt branded version is pretty similar but the fit is not nearly as nice. The Velcro is definitely needed all over the dash to keep the mat down. It tends to want to “puff up” in some areas. But definitely looks great and does a good job of keeping temps down from sun beating in.

My Ulti-Mat finally came in today after just over 8 weeks! It was dark outside already so I didn't take any pictures, but it fits really nice. I'll shoot some photos tomorrow and get 'em posted here. There are a couple of spots that are a just a little bit loose, but I'm sure that will settle in within a few days. And, it came with a limited lifetime warranty versus the 2-year limited warranty on the others (minus the original dash-mat that has a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser). But, at first-look I already like it better than my original dash-mat!

Okay, so I'm adding a few photos but will probably edit them later as the sun played a big part in the quality of them. I took a few with the windshield cover in place too for the shade effect and It's also a Cover Craft product. It also allowed for a little more clarity too on a few. The only thing for me that I would change would be the fiber quality and would make it smoother. The rougher "matte" of the cover allows for stuff to collect on it. Otherwise, I already like it much better than the original dash-mat.

So, I had to create a second reply as I could only post 5 pictures. So here's a few more as noted in the original reply.

Agreed, I like this one much better than the original dash-mat. The fit is very good but do think I may need a couple pieces of Velcro on the left and right sides where it meets the A-Pillar and maybe right near the defrost vents. With that being said, this is the best fitting one I've ever had.

Looks sweet, I got the CoverKing dash mat recently, I purchased Velcro from Walmart with both sides of the Velcro, I put one end on the mat and the mating end on my dash board, for me it adhered better than what CoverKing sent which adhered to the dash and it also stuck onto the underside of the dash mat, I put a couple spittles of silicone on corners too, probably my OCD kicking in lol. Enjoy your mat, looks nice.

Thanks Kevin. I hope to not need the velcro, but I don't have a problem throwing a couple pieces on there if I really need to.

Is there an advantage to having a dash mat or is it just a fashion/preference thing? I remember when I first got my Cube that had the **** rug on the dash literally the first question everyone asked was "what's it for?"

I like the idea of these covers but I’ve noticed in all the pics, unless I’m blind, looks like the dash speakers are covered.

Yes, that’s true about the speakers on the dash being covered, I’ve had my Cover King mat on my dash for less than a month, don’t notice any difference in sound, admittedly I thought I might. Here’s a free shipping code if you decide on the Cover King, COVERME416.
