FYI...typically there is a settings file you can copy off the SD card and after formatting, replace the new file created with the old file containing your old (saved) settings.I've had extremely good luck with this one:

I had it in my '14, and it's going in my '16 as soon as I take delivery.
Their software is crap, but you only need it for initializing new SD cards. 32GB seems to hold quite a bit, and it just overwrites the older stuff when it fills up. (Although I think you can override that behavior.)
Only tiny gripe: all your preferences (and I mean all of them) are contained on the SD card. So when you initialize a new SD card, if you don't remember to set your options the same way, the default options will take effect as soon as you put that card in.
