Depending on the dealer they might not know what steps are needed or want to try. I forget off hand what the sales code is for drl's. I believe that they have 2 options, either use the sales code or change something to Canada enable them that way. If you plan on doing any kind of lighting upgrades or really anything that would require a visit to the dealer to try and get something activated I'd look at the alfaobd thread. Post 1 has everything you can do with it. Just some things I've done, added factory remote start and programmed extra keys, added drl's, changed tire size, tpms thresholds, led lighting, hid's with no adapters, programmed and added fog lights, upgraded to the premium cluster and corrected mileage and hours. Probably forgetting a few things. If the dealer was able to enable/change all of that I would have spent around $500 or more just on labor. Cost of what's needed, alfaobd $49 Google play store or download through alphaobd.com, 18+ security bypass cable $50 through
@DeereGuy, obdlink mx bluetooth reader ~$60 Amazon, and if you don't have a android or windows device $50 for a Amazon Kindle fire 7 tablet. Well worth the investment.
