anyone put daytime running LEDs in their RAM? Also, will 2015 RAM have daytime running LEDs? If so, would those fit in a '14 if they did?

Use the search function, I myself have started a few threads regarding DRLs. The short version - I ended up buying the Philips LED 8 DRLs and mounted them on the lower plastic piece in the bumper and they look stock. Search around, I have a thread on those with pictures and reviews.

The problem with the search function on this forum, and most others, is that strings 3 characters and under are ignored. So searching LED DRL will not return any searches and few people actually call them daytime running lights. I'd suggest doing a google search instead using a search modifier: site:ramforum.com

I believe he is talking about these. They are very good DRLs.

No, I have DRLs as well as the 20" LED bar. The DRLs come on automatically when the truck is on and dim when the parking lights are kicked on. The LED bar is on its own switch.

What/where did you hookup to have them come on with truck?

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 Sport and wanted the LEDs to come on as DRLs. I was very frustrated after going to two dealers and being told it couldn't be done or that option was only available for Canadian or Fleet vehicles. One dealer even said there was a different wiring harness for vehicles which have the DRLs which I knew was BS.

Well, here's how you do it: The option code to enable the DRLs is VIN-specific. Someone has to have access to the Chrysler server and through that, they can send the option code for the DRLs down to the specific VIN to enable them. After that is done, access the vehicle through the OBD II port and the option to enable the LEDs as DRLs is available.

They will NOT be on if the vehicle is in Park or if the emergency brake is set.
