Ok so I have been battling with Bullydog about their programmer locking my pcm and not being able to fully unlock.
Well they called me the other day and sent me my "stock tune" BC the module wasn't recognizing my truck..... It didn't work.
Well now I think the only way to fix it is to bite the bullet and get the dealer to reflash my pcm, tcm and skim card.....
Is this the only way to get the tune taken off so I can use my superchip??

It aint easy.... bein' Easy ;)

If the dealer re-flashes your pcm to the factory tune, your bullydog will stay locked, because it will think your truck will still have the bd tune on it. Might be hard to sell the bd after that.

If the dealer resets your pcm, it will have factory parameters which should allow you to re-tune with your super chip.

(Take this next part with a grain of salt, i'm just thinking out loud, maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in)

If you plugged your superchip into your truck, it stores the factory tune..correct?

So if you tuned your truck with the superchip, it would just store the BD tune (thinking that it was the factory tune) and would write the superchip tune to the PCM.

I could be wrong, but I dont see a reason why or how that wouldnt work.

Someone chime in.

Superchips would recognize the BD as stock, if you can even get Superchips to work. I know this because few years back I used a BD. One good think about BD is you can set if you want daytime running lights, and the option to keep fog lights on when you turn your brights on. Long story short when you return back to stock with BD, it doesn't return those options to stock. A month ago I got the Superchips Cortex and it wouldn't work. After emailing and talking to Superchips they somehow did something through the updater where it would work. I can now use all the performance modes, etc. on the Cortex.... I still have daytime running lights and my fogs stay on. Wish I could turn them off. It's gotta be hell on the new retro HID's lol
