Well, seems that the clowns have figured out a new use for our entertainment screens....I don't know what but 15 of them were stolen in St Clair Shores Michigan and a community next to it in one or two evenings.
It is removed simply by removal of the two screws at the top of the screen underneath the rubber pad for the pen holding area on the dash. Then a quick unplug of the plugs in the rear and its gone, and your rear window is destroyed.
I just put two security screws in mine to make their life difficult and so I can drive it while waiting for a new rear window if it ever happens. I went to my IGLA dealer for an alarm but they said they do not have the specs yet for the 2025 systems.
I had to put a $1200 IGLA system in my hellcat to prevent theft due to the poor security systems Stellantis has given us, and now I have to start doing all the same crap to my ram. Hopefully they will come out with a way to permanently lock down the PCM in our trucks like they can do for the hellcats to prevent key cloning. I saw the newest little gadget that they use for key cloning on Amazon last night for $179.00. Any 14 year old kid can afford that.
Everyone complain to Ram. We need to at least have the option of locking down the PCM.
