Hey there. Im relatively new to lifting a pick up so I thought I'd ask for a bit of insight. My dealer informed that if I do not want void my warrenty, I have to get the install through them. Im trying to decide between a 4" or a 6" BDS Lift.

My main inquiries are, will I keep more of the stock feel while driving with the 4, or is it worth it to just get the 6'. It would be about a 900$ difference for me.

Next question is, will I be able to fit 35's with the 4" lift.

Thank you!

You can fit 35" tires no problem with a 4" lift... there are plenty of pictures in this forum of 4" and 6" lifts with 35" and 37" tires...

Awesome! Good to know!

My last question, how does the ride feel. That was one of the selling features to me of the ram. It just drove so damn smooth. Am I going to ruin that feel?

From what I've read on here, a lift with Bilstiens rides as good and often better than stock... and I've also read that the 6" BDS Coil over kit with Fox shocks rides outstanding and is a serious upgrade over stock...

I can't speak from personal experience, yet...

Did the dealer say what exactly would be voided? Suspension? Drivetrain?
The shop where I am working with for lifts swore up and down today that a lift would not void my warranty. Even offered to give me a BDS phone number. Sounds good now but will they stand behind me if there is a problem, I don't think so (the shop that is).

6in zone lift with bils and nitro shocks here, soooooo much better than stock. Only complaint is loss of turning radius

Right on good to hear. With my wife and kid, I think I will be going with the 4" lift. It's a healthy compromise. They're going to order me in tires at cost. Any recommendations? My buddy to me to purchase Goodyear duratracs. Any reviews on them? I heard they wear well, and being in northern Canada you never know when you might need a decent snow tire in the middle of summer Ahah!

Edit: Dont want to spend a fortune on tires. SO trying to find the best bang for my buck!

When the time comes, I'll be getting Toyo AT2 Extreme's... I've had Duratrac's on a work truck in Alberta... decent but me and Goodyear just don't mix

The Toyos I mentioned can be had for $420 CAD per tire in 35x12.5x20

Duratrac's at that spec are likely more...

I put duratracs on before the snow hit. 325/60/20. They're unreal in the snow! I've only had 2 slight scares but they were my fault not the tires. They blow my old winter tires out of the water! They seem to wear well too. Plus they look mean as hell lol! I went through knee deep snow in a field with no issue

I got them on sale at Canadian tire. They were $420 per tire plus tax. They're on sale again now at Canadian tire but Idk for how much

The factory 4" doesn't effect any part of the warranty.

I ordered a new truck today and the dealer said the same thing to me about the Mopar 4" with Bilstiens... offered it at wholesale price... said they'd add the part number to the VIN in the system and away I go...

It certainly makes sense...

That is route I went and they are adding the wheels and toyo 35x12.5x20 mt's. No issue with warranty made sense I me. I now have two 2014's with the rancho loaded levels and will have this one with the 4" lift
