I'm going to get the top of my headlights wrapped with vinyl because they are peeling. It's going to be the same color blue and I'm playing with the idea of having my bumper skid plate and roof rack plate wrapped the same way. What do yall think?

I thought about doing plastidip black on mine like that to see what it looks like. Might try it when I see yours. Not that plastidip would hold up well lol.. But it's cheap.. Like me!

Yeah the eyelid in the same color. I'm considering making the aluminum plates on the truck the same color as well.

Got my fuel tank installed today. Turns out the bigger tank bolts straight up but the front strap doesn't fit, it's too small. I need to get the strap off the other truck to bolt it onto mine. I just strapped the front up to the frame, wasn't about to take it back out after all that work. Lol

Also washed my truck yesterday. 738cfa2c6aefc317999f4d402a0cd11d.jpg

Did you push it under the cab or farther back on the bed?

The bigger tank takes up more space further towards the front. It is a straight bolt up but the front metal strap is apparently bigger. I'll fix that on Monday.

Oh okay I've wondered about it cause it's a swap I've considered doing too.

I think it's worth it for the extra fuel capacity. I can now carry about 9 extra gallons, just cost more to fill up now. Lol

I missed what tank you bought? Did you change fuel pumps when you went to diesel?

Not hard at all. Drain fuel, drop old tank, transfer pump and lines, bolt back up.

Well our third Gen trucks come with two options on fuel tank sizes, a 26 gallon and a 34 gallon. I had a 26 from the factory on mine, my 34 gallon came off an 05. It's a straight bolt up, minus the front strap that's different and I need to get the one off the 05.

I bought a fass pump and a sump drain for the diesel. I used the oem gas pump as a return line through the top and for the fuel level float.
