It's It's a diesel club I'm in. I went last night and I literally could not walk away from my truck. I had buddies parked on the other side and I never made it over there cause people kept talking to me about mine.

So I've picked up a few things recently from around the salvage yard.

The first was the filler neck off the 3500 dodge we had in the yard. The diesel pump nozzles don't currently fit in the hole on my truck so I'm going to fix that.

The second is a 34 gallon fuel tank out of an 05 1500. I currently have a 26 gallon. It won't be nice filling it up completely but it will be great for when I travel.

Third, I grabbed the radiator out of an 07 with a 5.7. Looks aftermarket but it is thicker than mine. My radiator is about 1.25" wide, this one is almost 2". The Cummins doesn't get hot but everything helps.


I also found a source for a good A518 transmission. A guy on fb posted in the groups I'm in and we decided to trade the rear end out of the old d250 I had for the Trans he has. This one will bolt up and it is a 4 speed with overdrive. No more topping out at 65 for me. He is 4 and a half hours away but I'll figure out how to get there. Lol

I wouldn't mind doing the bigger gas tank mod.

Rad looks like mine. If I remember tomorrow, I'll measure mine.

The new trans get you up to 75 now? Proper interstate speed lol

Going to apply for a "new" job in the AF. If I get it, I'll be headed back to California. Not sure how I'd feel driving my truck 2600 miles lol.. Might have to sell it and get another ram after school. This is all speculation of course.
