Yeah but not that bad for a diesel. There isn't any blow by at all on the motor and she fires up first try. Im going to pretty up and paint everything as well. I want my engine bay to look clean and sharp when I'm done.

It weighs a little more but my suspension can handle it. My truck has bigger coils on it to lift it and that truck has ifs on it as well. The original 5.9s like this one don't weigh quite as much as later models. I might lose a little bit on my lift but we're only talking like .5" or so.

Video from today. The turbo bearing is bad so it is making noise. I already ordered the parts for it and it only cost me $50 for all the pieces to rebuild it. I'll be driving her soon.

Yeah she's going to go in my 07. This motor is actually perfect for what I want to do. Cummins, automatic, all mechanical, no ecm, throttle cable, one simple wire harness, and even has cruise control. I'm going to have to use my ecm from my motor to make the gauges work on the stock cluster but I won't need the wires off of it that actually run the motor, just the sensor wires.

That's a good looking truck man. You should start your own thread for it though so you can document everything you've done to it and will do to it. :happy107:

Yeah its a single turbo.

Well I don't really want to put a whole lot more power into it because of it being In a half ton truck with a half ton rear end. I do plan on a bigger turbo with an intercooler, arp studs, a 4" turbo back exhaust, and a tuner to turn the motor up or down. That's probably about all I'll do though.

I'm going to add more gauges in the truck to watch everything.

Eh, not on this truck. If I do all that I want it on a long bed frame.

So I tried to find an hx35 turbo off of a 24 valve cummins motor at our yard but we don't have any. I don't feel like buying a new turbo for $1500 so I'm going to rebuild the one I have. The kit to completely rebuild it minus the blades was only $65 with shipping. Says it makes it run like new. Hopefully it works so I can drive her. I still have no idea how well the trans shifts or if there is a 3rd or 4th gear. Lol
