I've been looking at the BBk for a while now. Just finished my graphics so my next thing is my headers.
I'll have to check the for sale section out.

Speaking of in-depth tuning on a DS device, is there consumer software available to customize specific portions of a tune, (A/FR, VE, etc.) on a matrix or table format? Or is this feature ONLY available to CMR dealers? And if it is, do I have to pay $125 for each custom tune I need for mods as they get added?

I asked DS this very same thing, but Mike told me only CMRs could do that. I wanted to see for sure if anyone knows of any different methods available.

CMR software can be purchased and it runs approx $2,000+. I think the most important part is knowing what you are doing with it. Even experienced guys have made tunes that fried engines and trannys...

The Hemifever tune is one price with on-going support. When you add more mods, you can send a data log to Sean at Hemifever for tweaking, no charge. Adding a SC, or something that would require more extensive work, would be an additional cost.

Thanks for the info! I might be getting a DCX I-1000 then.

Diablosport has 2 different tuners. The Trinity for 599 is meant to stay attached with extra gauge displays or the Intune DCX for 489 where you load the tune and disconnect the tuner. Both prices include a HF tune and all cables and software. You can also sell your BD tuner to recoup some of the money. I switched from BD to DS and will never look back. I also downloaded the charting software from DS to review my data logs. I like to see for myself what is going on and with a little research I have learned a lot. Another great feature of the DS is the ability to change part throttle shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 along the entire curve. I was totally able to get rid of any bogging from early part throttle shifting. Dont get to hung up on the datalogging. If you never data log and just get the HF baseline tune you will be extremely happy. Sean is able to reduce TM, reduce TC, reduce ESC and deliver more power to the wheels by increasing shift firmness. There is a lot more going on than tuning for your mods.

To answer a question from another thread: I think 1-2 2-3 WOT shifts can go as high as 6400 rpms. Mine was shifting at 6100 with my first HF tune but I backed it down to 6000.

Was there a big power difference between the two? Mpg difference? I can get a bully dog for about cost so I'm not sure if I should do that or get a diablo with a custom tune!
