do you guys think it would be okay to deatil in the garage while running a torpedo heater. The garage is about 30feet long. Im thinking heater on one end and truck being detailed in the oter end near the door. Im at least going to wash and dry the vehicle, unsure about buffing.

Torpedo in a garage is going to cause everything in the garage to sweat/get condensation all over it. A torpedo utilizes the exhaust gas as the heat. Really designed to be used to heat open type structures... I wouldn't do it.

Yeah I would pass on that heater. My garage isn't heated sadly, however our propane patio heaters work awesome for working in the garage this time of year.

I've been using my torpedo heater in my 3 car garage for years and have never had a problem. I set the temp to about 70 degrees and let her run. No sweating or condensation problems, and if you are worried about fumes just crack a window/door open a bit.

I have a 3 car that is insulated and drywalled...It's kept at 45*-50*f all winter with a Hi-Eff upflow furnace that is ducted...BUT...I leave the Ram outside, and the wifes Caravan is in there yearround. The furnace is way oversized for the s.f. so I can get it to 80*f+ in less than 40 min if I want to...It was -10*f here this morning and the garage is nice and toasty....

How big of a garage do you need to fit 2 trucks in it comfortably with a little space to move around????

If it were mine, I'd like a 36x36. That would give you room front and back and also side to side. Room for a workbench, tool box, shelving or cabinets and a compressor etc.

Big garage is nice if you can get in it :) We have a three car with one side double length. Just enough room for me if we have all the "toys" in correctly. One Durango, three 4 wheelers and trailer with two jet skis. Its crowded in the winter...:sad72: The back of the long side is work space with a storage attic, work benchs and shelving.

If you do get a carbon monoxide detector, its pretty cheap life insurance.
