So, I went and had My LSD installed yesterday. Not thinking they would need to flash anything for a differential install, I left My unlocked PCM in the truck.
Turns out, if there are any updates available, they just flash the truck as it's in the bay.
I didn't hear one word about the aftermarket tune or PCM when I went to pick My truck up. Now, if it was warranty work, it may have been a different story.
Hope this helps anyone else on the fence about purchasing a i2/PCM combo for their 2015. :D

You left also the modified tune in the pcm or did you reset it with the factory tune?

They weren't looking for it. If they went looking they'd find it easily. So they have overwritten your tune?

More than likely, but I re downloaded the 93 Octane tune when I got home, so it's all good.

So what would you have done if they locked up your PCM? The "locking" is software, not hardware I believe. ALWAYS put in the locked factory PCM for dealer trips.

It is common practice to just perform any available software updates if the vehicle is still under warranty. The idea is that there are a lot of things fixed by the updates that could prevent trips to the dealer and inconvenience the customer. There are a dozen different modules in the truck and it is not always PCM related. I would recommend simply telling them that you have modified PCM software and make sure they don't flash it. I have even seen little caps that go on the OBD port with the Diablo logo that look kinda cool.
