I finally bought a tuner, and would like to know what settings you guys have used, and your feedback. Wont be getting a custom tune until jay greene is back from vacation. Do you feel like the 93 canned tune actually did anything? Did you raise shift points, etc?

I only ran the canned 87 tune while waiting for the custom and since then have always ran the custom 89.

At the end of the month I'm taking a 1000 miles trip so I'll drop it back to the custom 87 tune just to save a few pennies at the pump but the canned tunes didn't make a difference from stock to me.

I didn't notice a huge difference in the 91 octane tune I loaded on my 6.4L HEMI. The throttle lag was gone, the low end torque improved a bit as did the higher RPM power.

It really came to life after I put the custom tune put on it.

Im still playing around with all of the settings. I raised 1st and 2cnd gear shift points to 6200 and set throttle booster at 20%. Its gonna be a while before i get a custom tune, so im playing around with settings. Theres quite a few settings I cant understand.

I think that WOT shift point setting is too high. You want it to shift while you are still in the peak HP band, not above it.

Your engine makes peak HP at 5900 RPM and max torque at 4000 RPM so the setting should be pretty close to 5700 - 5900 RPM. Power stops to drop off the cliff above 5900 RPM so I'd have it shift as close to that value to keep it from falling over on it's face.

Thanks for that info. I will reset the shift points tomorrow. I did not adjust the WOT points. Should I?

Yes, drop the WOT shift points down into your power band, around 5700 - 5900 RPM
