I am looking to use Valvoline product for the front and rear differential and will use the recommended weight for each. My Ram has 57000 miles and often must use 4X4 but very limited towing. What you say?

I don't see a problem with it, & according to Valvoline their synthetic gear oil already has the additive for LSD if your truck is equipped. Sounds like you're on top of maintenance!

Nearly all otc gl-5 (current modern spec for all gear fluids) gear fluids are "multi-use" fluids, so that means the limited slip is already in it. 75w140 for the rear, easy dyi project and it is due now. If by chance you end up with shudder, you add one ounce at a time limited slip modifier until shudder is gone.
