Does anyone out there know how to identify power ram trim levels?

Hello everyone,
I'm ordering badges and emblems for my 86 power ram 250 because most of the original ones have fallen off. The problem is I have no idea what trim level mine is but I want to get the right badges. I know it's not a base model because it has the chrome and black trim pieces on the side, but the badges were the only thing that indicated trim level and they are missing. Never had a hood ornament. Does anyone know the differences between all the trim levels?

Yeah, mine is nowhere near that nice. It was a farm truck in Missouri it's entire life, so it's low mileage, but beat to hell and a bit rusty. Now that I brought it back to life and took it down south it has a slightly more gentle life as my lawn service truck.

My 1987 was a 150 LE, it had carpeting, cloth seats, chrome bumpers and grill, side moldings and LE badges. I remember it said " Prospector package" on the window sticker, but it didn't have any decals saying that like others I have seen. These photos were from 1990 or so, I sold it in 1992.003.jpg005.jpg

If it has the original seat in it check between the springs and seat foam for a build sheet. It should give you the option codes it was built with. It may be in either the seat back or bottom.

I'd check your Vin no
and build sheet if it's available, that should tell you what level it is.

If it's this difficult to determine what trim you're supposed to have, does it matter? Who is in a place to second-guess?

I have enjoyed more basic models my whole life. Easier upkeep. Less parts to damage and/or chase. A lot of that extra trim attracts rust, and means more holes in the body from the start.
