I have a 2013 Express RCSB 2WD. So here's my plan.. Im going to install my Belltech 2/4 drop kit this weekend. After reading every post I could search for, I will use my stock front shocks, and the shorter BT rear shocks. I will also install a Spohn adjustable panhard bar to get the rearend centered. I think I will wait on buying 22's, and just buy some tires for the stock 20" wheels. I'm thinking Nitto 285/50/20. I do not want any rubbing issues on the sway bar, or inner fenderwells. Does anyone see a problem with this?? Would you do anything different?? Saturday could be a good day for me, and I don't want any suprises!!

Now for the second part of my question..What do you think about modifiying this kit into a 3/5 by trimming the coils a little. Would there be any issues with rubbing??

Thanks to all who respond, but I need real answers from people who have actually done this. Tyler, feel free to chime in.. James-

My setup is perfect imo I using the shocks that came with I also thought about going with a 3/5 but my buddies advised me to leave it and since I am on 24s I am glad I did because I am rubbing on hard bumps so far no regrets lol, can't wait to see pics

I didn't have any issues with rubbing with the stock tires on a 2/4 so you have no worries there. Now after putting my Boss wheels on the tires rub the front sway bar with the steering turned all the way, but that's because those wheels moved inward a 1/2".

When do you plan on buying the new 285/50/20 tires? There's no way you could do a 3/5 on factory tires without rubbing the fenders. I'm now about 4/6 and I still have no issues with rubbing other than the sway bar. It bottoms on real bad bumps, but I have no complaints about that as it's expected with a low full size.

Thans Jose & Tyler for the response. I'd love to hear from UNBROKEN, JoeG45 & 09smokinhemi on their setups.

I'm 3/5 on 305/40r22 and never rub fender unless I hit a pot hole or bump in the road hard enough while turning as well as bottoming out only on really hard bumps lesson learned after the first time and I do rub a little on the sway bar at full lock. as for shocks I hated the belltech SP some love them but they werent for me and after seeing unbroken install qa1s I tried them out and love them also all bump stops need to be shorter got that info from tylerb

On my 24's it was the same way except I ran 295/35r24

I forgot to mention about the bumpstops. What I did was use the supplied front stops in the rear and bought some 1.25" tall Belltech stops (part # 4922) for the front. You have to cut the front and rear bumpstop cups off and you'll have to do some creative engineering to mount the new rear stops. What I did was cut a small slot in the original mount on the frame to get the nut and wrench through.

i went with the BellTech 2/4 drop kit with the belltech shocks. when i first installed the drop, i had the stock goodyears on it, then later bought the Nitto 285/50/20's. my ride is a little rough, so i am seeing about getting some different shocks, but first i would like to install my airlift to see if it'll help some.
After speaking with Tyler, i will probably go with some 305/50/20 tires down the road since i will be installing some 4.56 gears.

Thank you guys for your responses. I guess I'll stick w/ the stock Goodyear 275/60/20 for now, and go from there. I could buy the 285/50/20 tires and get a little more drop from those, since they are shorter. I really wanted to run 22's. We'll see...No matter what tire/wheel combo I go with, at least I have the springs, so if I decide to trim them, no more $$$, just labor. As you can tell, I'm still undecided.

I ultimately want a 3/5 drop with 22x9 wheel and a 285/45/22 tire. (A little narrower, and hopefully no rubbing the sway bar). QA1 adjustable shocks, and Spohn adjustable 4-link. OH WTF to do!!!

check and see if the coils are sitting proper...and for the noise check if they cut the bump stop cup.

My truck had a lean when I installed the Belltech 2/4, you can trust me that mine was installed correctly. I just believe the Belltech is inconsistent with their coil rates spring to spring. It tpok cutting coils to get sitting level side to side and as low as I wanted.
