The first project on the new Ram....and it is for the dogs.

I did a quick dog bed mod to the back of the truck. It's a crew cab with a fold-out floor. I had a twin mattress topper laying around after my last deployment, so instead of holding on to it, I decided to put it to use.

SUpplies:
  • Old foam mattress - Free ($40 from Amazon)
  • Ikea Blanket - $7.99
  • Ikea Shower Curtain - $1.99
  • Gorilla Glue spray adhesive - $14.99
I think it turned out pretty well. Will get the approval from the pups when it's not a snowstorm outside.

Looks very cozy, I hope your pups enjoy it! But one question, is the removal of the blanket an easy task or a hassle? Because sometimes an accident or two may occur.

Very easy. I guess I forgot to include the sheet stays that I have holding the blanket on. They keep the blanket tight but make it very easy to remove.

Looking good. What breeds? I did the same thing, but with these 2 bed hogs (70# and 90#) the 1" topper didn't cushion enough. They were always restless even on the 20 min ride to town. The few times I had the pad and the seat down, they both squeezed on the seat vs 1 laying on the mat. I used some 3" mem. foam beds but they soon work them out too. Finally I went with 2 layers of actual mem foam bedding to get it even with the top of the seat. And with the seat down, it adds room to the back wall. They actually have room to lounge.

The Bed hogs. If your pups are lighter, should be comfy for them

We have a 50lbs Pit-mix and a 30lbs French Bulldog, so combined they're the average of your two pups.

With their weight, I hope that this mattress holds up for them.

Now we need to go to the dog park so they can take it for a test drive.
