I have a 2020 Ram 3500 diesel. It has less than 24,000 miles on it. Yesterday, my truck went into regen mode which has been quite often so I was getting ready to drive it on to the freeway to allow to do the regen. However, the check engine light came on with an error message saying the exhaust filter was full and there was a power reduction and go see dealer. This was the first time this happened. I was able to get to the dealership. The service writer ran the code to confirm the problem. He informed that he has had these changed in a lot of late model Rams. Luckily for me, my bumper to bumper warranty was still in effect so no out of pocket expense. He also informed that was some sort of internal design flaw with the DPF that their has been no fix yet. The replacement part will be the exact same DPF as the one that needs to be replaced. I was told after this replacement there would be 2year parts and labor on the new installed DPF. He let me know he has not come across too many that he had to replace a second time. Has anybody with this a late model Ram 3500 run into this problem?
