Needing some help. My 2014 3500 drivers front window only works for about 8-10 times and stops until I pull connector 3 from the door module (power, ground, and I believe can) and immediately connect it back to door module and it will work again for about the same amount of time. New switch and module x2 have been installed and a new motor. I’ve gone over all the wires looking for a break. I don’t seem to be loosing a ground or 12volt power to that connector. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mine did that after I bought it. Simple fix, re-calibrate. ....

Have you done the re-calibration?

Roll it up and continue holding button for 5 seconds.
Then roll down, continue holding button for 5 seconds.
That should do it.

I’d start looking at the wiring between the door and the body again, especially in the rubber boot where the wires flex every time the door opens. I’ve seen wires test fine with a meter but fail under load or lose communication intermittently. Since unplugging and reconnecting the door module resets it, it almost sounds like a CAN communication issue or a poor connection at one of the connectors. I’d also check the connector pins closely for corrosion, spread terminals, or anything that could cause an intermittent signal loss.

Thanks for the info guys I’ll try the reset and check over the harness again. I work with harnesses everyday but this one has me stumped.

Check the other ends of the wiring harness connected to the driver's door module (DDM).
The drawing below is from page 1415 with more troubleshooting tips after, in the 2013-2016 service manual.

By R&R the DDM-side connector, that would technically reset the module by toggling the B+, but also would re-establish the IHS CAN bus signal. If the other end of the connection has a fault, this could be the source of your grief.

Download the PDF to a PC and word search using 'Control F'. I searched DDM.

So I believe I have a short in the light on the drivers mirror. I’ve left the harness for the mirrors unplugged form the module and the windows have worked great for the last 2.5 days. Crossing our fingers. Thanks for all the help guys
