Hi
I recently was adding some diesel to my 2021 Ecodiesel with a portable tank. The portable tank had a small plastic cap that came loose and dropped down the filler tube. Is there any type of screen to stop it from reaching the tank?

There is an anti siphon screen, but don’t know if that would stop it. A ‘small’ cap would just drop to bottom of tank and stay there I am thinking.,Can’t see it bothering pump. What option do you have except to wait and see, really. I wouldn’t worry. Unless it is NOT such a small cap?

Thanks, the cap is about as big around as my little finger. I have driven 3000 miles and no issue yet.

Also, I tested another identical cap in diesel and it does not float.

should not cause a problem but if it bothers you you could pull the filler tube and see if it is hung up in there otherwise I would forget about it.
