The last time I dealt with a chip in a truck was nearly 20 years ago so take this with that in mind. Back then the big fear was overheating your exhaust. With towing I'd have to think that would be magnified. Do you have a thermometer to monitor your exhaust temps? (is that even still a thing people do?).
I think it were me I might give it a try as long as I had a way to monitor things to be sure I wasn't hurting the truck. Also, can you just switch back from the tune to stock while out on the road if it turns out you're overheating something? Or, can you take a few test runs close to home so you're not dealing this when far from home?
If I could monitor temps and bail on the tune if needed I'd probably try it. If not, I might look into a tow-specific tune.
