I was interested in the Gibson extream dual exhaust catback in stainless with the 45 degree angled outlet, but they don't have an option for reg cab short box, only reg cab long bed. I'm picking up a 02 reg cab short bed with the 4.7 has 20's tomorrow and I want a dual exhaust first thing. Anyways do they make them for the shortboxes ? if not does any other brand offer what im looking for in shortbox ? thanks/

First off, welcome to RF, you should post up some pics when you get the truck in the Intro section.

Secondly, I have looked around at various companyies and it seems that there really is no company out there that makes a dual exhaust. For short bed 1500s that is angled out the sides similar to how the factory exhaust is on the passenger side.

My only thought, as I want to do this to my truck, is to find a shop that would do this for me without breaking the bank.

thanks for the reply. I wonder why they haven't made a catback for the short beds, they are fairly popular.

Pick up an x pipe, cut out the stock y pipe, do either a DI/DO or two separate mufflers of your choosing, and figure out your tail pipes. It's not that bad to piece it together, probably a little cheaper than finding a kit. You won't be able to go straight back unless you want hot exhaust pipes near the gas tank, but that can be done to if you can work around things.

If you get on the Dynomax Website, they have 'Builder Parts" including mandrel bent dual exhaust pipes (45° exit I believe) you could likely piece something together pretty easy.
