Hey all! I'm starting to experience some analysis paralysis and hopefully some of you smarter-than-me types can help out! :D

I'm doing a SRW to DRW conversion on my 2004 Ram. The current OEM tires are LT265/70/R17 on 17x8.0 wheels.

I'm looking for new wheels for the dually conversion and I'm seeing the OE for 2WD dually is LT235/80/R17 on 17x6.5 wheels.

I'm curious if it's possible to use 265/70/17s on 17x6.5 wheels without having to put a spacers on the rears?

Of course, if any of my numbers are incorrect, please let me know...trying to make everything fit without it looking terrible or rubbing anything.

Thanks!

Tire brand will have an impact on size. I ran 235/80 Michelins with barely 1/2" between kisses and when I went to Nitto's in the same size I have close to 1 1/2" clearance between. Looks stupid on a dually. I will be measuring my new tires before committing in the future. I guess what I'm saying is that you won't really know until you try. Good luck.
