Only a dashcam with a hardwire kit is installed, which shuts off the parking monitor if the voltage drops below 12.2 volts. Only an aftermarket Alpine Halo with a wire kit is used. The ignition and constant voltage are wired correctly. The battery was just at 12.70 volts.

My 2020 Laramie was still starting fine but started having all kinds of strange electrical issues. I changed to the Optima battery and everything cleared up and has been fine for four months now. The RAM just seams to have a very voltage sensitive system.

Thank you for your report, i will change the Batterie before i send my TIPM to check.I think these will be the fastest and cheapest try.

Which size do you prefer 70Ah, 80Ah or bigger?

I also noticed that when I hold the test seal on the multimeter to plus I also have voltage everywhere on the battery even with the minus tip, through the plastic and far away from the negative pole

Pull the little spacer in the bottom of the battery box, then you can fit the bigger H8 battery in it.

I plan to upgrade my battery to an H8 whenever it starts to fade.

I wasn't sure a 2011 truck had the same loading characteristics as my '21.
I understand why you required the additional capacity, but your needs were a bit unusual.

Do you believe the H8 is a good choice for any year of Hemi, regardless of the environmental conditions?

I'm a firm believer in running the biggest battery that'll fit, lol.

Thanks

I exercised that belief with my Tundra, which always helped with cold starts during the winter or when parked longer between uses.

See if you can get an H8 sized battery without breaking the bank.
An LN4 is equivalent to an H7.

I'll go with the 80Ah battery; I've already used two of that capacity. This time, however, I'll go with the AGM version.

I have two NOCO Genius batteries.

One NOCO Genius 10 for our cars and one NOCO Genius 1 for the ATV; I don't need a directly mounted charger.

I drive three times a week, two times 17 kilometers, and often long distances.

I tried different parts to make the lights on the dash go away, I used the alfaobd, I did the tune, but in the end I took it to the dealer, they updated the programs in several items like the windows, parktronics, abs, trailer brakes, tow/haul, mirrors and the list goes on. they didn't reprogram the ecm since I had a tune in it so I still have the problem with the engine dying if the air conditioner is shut off and every once in a while the abs/brake lights come on at start up and I have to shut the engine off and restart it

I'm guessing you have a Diablo with the famous Diablo idle drop/die feature :Big Laugh:

With a Diablo it takes a custom tune to bypass it's idle drop issues if you have that issue, not sure what to do with a bullydog though.

Leave it hooked up, the charger will have no problem with the little bit of draw. You have to wait a couple of hours after you take the charger off, to test the voltage. When you first remove the charger it should be 12.7 to 12.6, after a couple of hours it should still be at least 12.5, and it would be good to check it the next morning too. You want to find out how much it is drawing down over night.
