Hi
When I drove my 2002 diesel Ram 2500 this morning, it started out fine. But after a couple of minutes the check Guages light came on and the electrical Guage showed that it wasn't charging. Any one have an idea what is going on?
Thanks in advance-

Probably alternator is bad and/or battery. Check voltage with it running when the light comes on. If it's around 12.6 or less then the alternator is probably nit charging.

Check the voltage by applying voltmeter leads to the battery, or somewhere else?
Thanks for trying to help.

You can check a number of places but yes the battery is the easiest/most direct.
