electrical or pcm problem?

Im going to wait for the other pcm to come in and try that. im hoping that fixes the problem. on another forum there was someone that had the exact same symptoms as i do and the pcm fixed his issue. so im hoping that the first pcm that i got from ebay was junk.

ok, i changed out the old pcm for a reman. i let it idle for about 15min and wiggled the wires and it was ok. i ran it on the highway and around town for about 15-20 miles, wiggled some more, tapped on the pcm and she stayed running. it was only about 60 degrees today so im hoping she does the same when its 85 degrees. hopefully this is the end of this problem. i guess the 99 rams are known for this. i hope i found my problem. ill keep you guys posted. thanks for all the help.

I actually had a similar issue, mine turned out to be a faulty crank shaft position sensor.

seems like everyones had this problem and everyones had different fixes. hopefully this pcm will hold up. it sucks being nervous every time i get in the truck. did you have the same symptoms at the harness as i did? hope not!
