Ok so I have a question. When I swap my 3.7 out to a dumb carburetor engine I will not need the engine computer. But my question is will I end up having to rewire the truck for my lights to work? I'm not concerned about gauges as I have a master plan for that with a little custom dash work. But aren't there 2 brain boxes on these trucks? If that's the case will one work independent of the other?
Just planning ahead. Thanks for any help!
(I've torn down the old engine that I'm going to be using. Now to get the block worked and cleaned at a local speed shop. Some boring out and shoving in a 400 crank. Stroker time! I'm going to be going for around 425hp or so and around 450 to 500 ft/lbs of torque to keep it pretty reliable and pump gas friendly. Luckily the Chrysler 9.25 rear is pretty stout!) Long term project until the v6 dies then I will have a ready engine and trans to drop in.
