This was just a conversation with a coworker so there's no intentions to do anything just yet.

He mentioned he's got a line on a Mopar Performance crate 6.2 or 6.4 (I forget which one). Besides the actual labor and tune, what would it take to swap a 5.7 for the crate motor in a 5th gen 1500 4x4? Are the stock engine components like brackets, mounts and sensors along with the stock engine harness work? Basically, is the crate motor a direct replacement?

There's several 5th gens running around with a 6.4 swap. It's basically a drop in ,but you'll have to find a tuner to tune it for you.the 6.2 is alot more involved as that's the hellcat engine. If you're dropping a 6.2 into it,get ahold of Richard Campbell on facebook as he's done several hellcat swaps.
You'll find more guys who've done the swap on the hi-po facebook pages then on here.Try High Performance Rams and Tuned Rams on facebook, you'll also find more tuners on the hi-po pages
