Emergency brake light

When first started my emergency brake light turns on as the vechile goes through it function check than turns off all normal there. The problem comes when I apply the e brake the brake applies as normal but the indicator light never comes on. Any suggestion would be helpful thanks

Thanks. I been to two dealerships and they want to charge 150 for a diagnosis fee and it might be a 25 cent fuse.
