Hello all!, I have started an Audio Intervention for my ‘22 Ram Crew Cab. I went with the PAC Audio harness to connect to an Audiocontrol LC5I. Then to two separate Rockford Fosgate amplifiers. One for the mids/highs and the other for the subwoofer department. I went with Infinity 6x9 reference for the doors and the 3.5” for the dash. My issue(s) are I cannot find a budget-friendly enclosure that is either loaded or unloaded. First time full-size truck owner here. I’m currently going to utilize a single 12” ported enclosure that will have to be installed and removed on a regular basis because my wife does not enjoy bass (I know, I can’t believe it either!) Anyhow, I have a great feeling that this is going to sound good because I have previously used this equipment in prior installs. Problem is, I have grown accustomed to having two 12s in a ported enclosure. And with the under seat method being the best option, I would prefer to go this route. The bass amplifier is 935 watts RMS into 1 or 2 ohm load. I listen to just about all types of music. I realize I may have to stick with what I have for now until funds will allow the enclosure and subs. I have also found that most of the 12” enclosure’s are sealed instead of ported. Finally, are shallow mount subs a big difference from regular as far as sound is concerned? Thanks in advance to everyone. Much appreciated!!
