Just wanted to post my results after upgrading the original (bespoke) 200w amp for the factory plug and play SRAMCQ09 sub to a Kicker Key500.1. The original sub is 1 ohm dual voice coil so the 500.1 works perfectly to power it. It makes that sub sound SO MUCH BETTER. I'm glad I did it! It was a rather easy upgrade but I did upgrade the power and ground to 8AWG (I think the original wiring was 10 or 12 AWG). I also used some sound deadening on the rear cab wall and placed a whole sheet on the bottom exterior of the sub enclosure as I'm told it can help the plastic enclosure perform better and/or have less resonance directed to the truck floor.
While I was at it, I added some 6x9 speaker baffles to the doors and also used the sound deadening on the door cards themselves (I have an annual Krown Rust treatment done and didn't want to see how that interacted with the deadening material). This step reduced the door vibrations from mid-bass (nearly?) completely. One thing to note, you can fit the baffles linked below in the rear doors without issue but they will get deformed/crushed by the bracing in the front doors. You can buy shallower ones but I just decided to make it work by crushing them against the brace as returns cost too much.
