Hey gang,

My coolant light came on this morning and when I got to work, it looks to be a little low in the tank. I read you need a certain coolant - not every coolant will work. So here I am, asking the pro's.

What I found was a Mopar 50/50 Prediluted part# 68163849AA. Am I safe getting this? Is there something better you'd suggest? (I don't mind spending more for better products).

Also, I live in Wisconsin and we are heading into fall/winter.

2014 Ram 2500
6.7 Cummins
185,000 miles (as of 9/16)

Thanks

If your truck calls for the purple, long-life, OAT coolant, that should be it.

It may say on the coolant bottle lid, but it should be spelled out in your owner's manual. I don't remember when they went from HOAT to OAT coolant.

If his coolant is 10 year it is the right coolant, if it is the 5 year wrong stuff...

Ignore the dex cool stuff, eventhough you have a dex clone it isn't the same.

Per your 2014 manual...

"We recommend you use MOPAR® Antifreeze/Coolant 10 Year/150,000 Mile Formula OAT (Organic Additive Technology)."
