Three times in the last 15 months while braking and speed was under 10 miles per hour, the engine jumps to full throttle! The only option is to turn off ignition. Anyone ever see this happen before?

I'm only going to ask this because I've seen it happen; do you have big feet and/or are inadvertently stepping on both pedals at the same time?

I've had that happen to me, driving my wife's Cherokee. No damned fun at all especially having the wife sitting next to me freaking out!

My VW had a vacuum leak somewhere and under severe braking would rev the engine to maintain vacuum. Not sure if it’s a similar issue. And never figured out the leak. Honestly could have been a faulty manifold pressure sensor too. But I sold the car before trying to fix it

While I do have big feet, I ruled that suspension out after the second time it happened. Since No codes were present a vacuum leak sounds interesting, it seems to make sense to me.
