Any thoughts as to why the new Hemi's are not equipped with a magnetic oil pan drain plug? Are there any aftermarket magnetic plugs for the 2022 eTorque 5.7?

They probably don’t want you knowing how much metal is being shed.....that and possibly there is a magnet in the pan. What a place to scrimp to save a penny.o_O

You can use an aftermarket oil pan drain plug for any 2019 - 2022 5.7L Hemi. The threads are the same for all.

In fact, I'm pretty sure they haven't changed those threads for any 5.7L Hemi from 2009 to present. But I'm too lazy right now to verify that LOL.

Have ANY HEMI oil drain plugs from the factory ever been magnetic? My 2017 is not. I didn't think any of them were.

They make magnets for oil filters ,seems like that would be a good place , if you cut open the filter to search for metal Debris.
