Engine swap

I have 2006 Ram 1500 with a 4.7L. My Question is can I replace my current engine with a 4.7 out of a 2011 ram

I've heard it's possible, at least in a Dakota.

Should be the same for the Ram I'd think.

Yes. Best part is, this was a factory install in a 3rd gen Ram in 2008 (so you have factory parts to draw from). Shouldn't be difficult to adapt the 2008 PCM and harness to a 2006.
