That is your check engine light. If you turn your key on,off,on,off,on without cranking the engine it will give you a code. That code will tell you what system is at fault. When you get the codes post them here and someone may be able to tell you how to fix it.

You can also take it to any Autozone or Advance Auto and they will pull the codes from the OBDII port for you for free.

Its detecting a leak in your EVAP control system which could be caused by a loose or broken gas cap. I would check that first.

Checked the gas cap, it's all good. Any other possibilities?

On the front of the gas tank there will be two evap canisters, a natural detection leak pump, and a filter. I would inspect those and replace any vacuum hoses that look cracked. That code is for a large leak so maybe one of the hoses is badly cracked or disconnected.

That is the idiot light. If anything is wrong with your truck it comes on. Can-Bus equipped trucks love that light. It could be ANYTHING, from wrong headlight bulbs installed in your truck to something wrong with the brakes. Only way to find the right problem is to have the codes read.

Even if it was just the gas cap, it takes a few start/stop cycles to clear the code. It isn't immediate after tightening the cap.

Gas caps can be a PIA, As stated have the correct cap and even then it can leak. I use grease on the rubber seal when checking mine and I'm very very consistent about how I tighten it. Three clicks and then one more for good luck...
The vent lines can split and it is common for the clamps to break. Check it out...
