Error messages

Hello, my brother has 2020 ram 1500. 5.7. Just today his truck started giving tps error, 4wd not available message, brake light on and other errors.

He changed his battery and checked all of the fuses. Any ideas?

His push to start button flickers.

My brother said yellow and red wire going to the battery were kinked. When he straighten the wires out, the push start stopped flickering stayed solid. After a while it started doing it again.

Dealer won’t see him till after the new year.

If the wires feel as funky as they look, maybe hit Benny up at All Mopar Parts in vendor section with this information and order a replacement wire assembly. Considering moving that may have improved the issue for a short time, it might be worth replacing although I am always one to test things first as I hate throwing money at a problem until I know it will fix it. You could remove that wire assembly and check continuity while wiggling the kinked section first. Good luck.

Update,
This morning, he couldn’t even get into the truck. He found another dealer that would see him today. He got towed.

They said the third brake light leaked, water got into the wires, trickled down to the radio module shorting it out.

They going to replace the radio module that’s in the back of the cab. They also found water and mold.
