Need advice...I've got the dreaded p0441 (small evap leak) code. Can't find a leak...smoke test....nothing. Here's what is odd...code is only thrown after cold start. If I let it idle for 3 minutes, the code is sent.
If I clear the code and drive around the code doesn't return and the monitors will slowly come back online (except for the evap monitor and the heated O2 sensor monitor) after drive cycles.
Then after sitting over night the process will repeat....it'll throw the code within 3 minutes of startup.
Ideas????
Thanks

check the gas cap. If it's not sealing down real tight it will throw that code like nobody's business. If it still does it - get under there and check the hoses connecting to the black evaporator canister. It'll be on the frame rails back by the fuel tank. I have had several that the hoses will get old and crack and then throw that code.

I've been having the same issue. Checked all of the hoses and got a new fuel cap but found nothing and changed purge solenoid
