On Monday, while driving, my power steering goes away with a warning light to service power steering. 10 seconds later, as I am muscling the truck into a parking lot, power steering comes back. Tuesday morning driving on the farm, power steering goes out again but I also get a Service Shifter warning, followed by my wipers turning on, followed by Service Transmission, then a Service Trailer brake warning, my tire pressure indicators flashing and then the truck goes dead.

I was able to restart it and get it back to the house, but it now sits quietly, DOA.

I have 197k miles and as all of this is going bad at once, my thought is electrical, but my code reader wont register unless the truck is running.

Any ideas where to start?

Measure the battery voltage. Anything below 12.5 put a 10 amp charger on it over night. Single most common cause of the multi point failures you are seeing is a bad battery.
I went ahead and replaced the battery as the one I had is at least 5 years old. I am still having the same issues.

Good first step, now check your ground straps, all of them. Also, make sure you fully charge the new battery. Does the vehicle now start at least?

Okay, so we have progress since it now starts and did not before. That is very good news.

Battery is doing that part of its job. I still say, fully charge new battery, check all grounds, open fuse box and GENTLY seat all fuses, loose fuses cause lots of gremlins. Check codes, write them down, then clear all of them.

Once those steps are done then we can proceed.

I want to first THANK YOU for your help. I have not checked the grounds or the fuse box yet. I my list for today.

I was able to put a code reader on and get some codes. It reads like War & Peace in terms of pages. They are attached. Maybe this helps, or tells you to tell me to burn the truck

Again, I thank you for all your input

Okay, you have them all captured which is good. Still looks like the system was way low on voltage and set a ton of codes due to communication errors. Clear all the error codes and lets see what comes back but do not restart until you have done the fuses and grounds..
