exhaust help please

Hi hoping for some suggestions. I have a 06 with a 5. 7
Just had headers installed. The kit came with hollowed pre cats. The shop installed everything for me. They did not put in my O2 sensors and they took the main cat out and just piped into the magnaflo 40 muffler. So of course i now have like 8 codes popping up. My question is. Can i put my factory O2 sensors into the hollowed out cats? Will they get wrecked because the cats are hollowed out? Is there different sensors that i should buy because they hollowed out. I have no clue what to do.

Get a tuner and a custom tune on it.

Either that, or you can have the o2 bungs installed, install o2 sensors, and attempt the anti-fouler trick.

Is it the rear o2 sensors? 8 codes seems a little much for rear o2 sensors. Assuming it's the rear o2 sensors the easiest and cheepest way to fix it is with o2 defoulers. If you don't have rear o2 bungs you will need a muffler shop to install some. Next go to your local auto parts store and buy 2 spark plug defoulers with the same threads as the o2 sensor I believe they are 19mm threads but not 100%. The sensor will not fit down inside them you will need to take a drill bit and drill them out some. Being careful not to mess up the threads it's not very hard. Once it's drilled out just enough for the 02 sensor to slide down inside of it your done just bolt them into your exhaust then bolt the 02 sensor into the defouler. The way it work is that it will pull the 02 sensor out of the exhaust stream giving the computer a clean air reading. I have done this on many of vehicle from mustangs to honda civics it works. You can buy a 02 defouler ready to go but they are like $20 each and you have to order them local auto parts stores won't carry them. Spark plug defoulers are about 4 bucks each so for a little work you'll save time and money.
