Exhaust help.

I'm thinking of taking my muffler out. I was thinking of ordering a y-pipe some band clamps. I was thinking of using flex exhaust to connect the y-pipe to the rear duals. If I like the sound than I'll go and have it welded. Do you guys think that will work. Any other ideas.

The only thing is I put in a cat back system. I don't know if that will fit. The truck originally came single side exit exhaust.

What cat back system does it currently have?

It's a borla cat back. It was a bolt on but I don't know if the borla muffler is smaller than the stock one. Mufflex is in nj not far from me maybe I'll take a drive over there next week.

I think I just assumed dual. I am not sure about single side exit exhaust....

I'd think the only problem I see with flex exhaust is rigidity. But it could work.

I changed from single to dual so I don't know if the whole setup is different from the stock sizes.
