Exhaust redo

I am thinking about redoing my exhaust over the Winter. Here is what I am thinking of doing.



It would be the through body exhaust...with an exit on each side. I am doing to do a true dual set up. I've been considering Magnaflow for mufflers. I would probably also do another cutout...and headers.

Thoughts?

Neverreally been a fan of the exhaust exit before the tire. But when done right it does look pretty damn good. Just be sure that the exhaust gasses dont screw with your paint or rim

I too am not a fan of through the body in front of the tire. Different yes. My cup of tea... not really. I would put them out the back quarter area like on Stacy davids truck.

Another idea was the true duals with turn downs. I have a feeling that will be super loud!

I like side exit body exhaust, however it has to be done neatly and correctly.

Small and simple like this is what I like:



I Highly recommend magnaflow, get rid of your resonator if you still have that thing. I have a 22" magnaflow dumped before the rear axle and the resonator cut off. It sounds sooooo beast.

The ones pictured above are cool for street trucks, but I'm not sure about them on a lifted 4x4. Maybe the same idea, but after the tire?

good point i remember seeing pics years back of a truck that had them out the side like that (not all cleaned up) and there was black stuff on the paint around and behind the opening.

Hmm...what do you guys think about doing the turn downs?

I'm running true dual straight pipe with an h pipe in the middle out behind the rear tires and its pretty mean sounding so I can only imagine what turn downs would sound like

4.7s sounds good with the right muffler.
