Hey Brothers,
So I’m an old new guy. Been around, but, no longer have the ability to do a lot of work myself.
I have a 2017 Tradesman. 5.7 with a single exhaust
I’ve got two questions.
First, does anyone make a cat back side exiting dual exhaust that includes all the hardware (hangers etc). I prefer side exit and don’t have the rear bumper exhaust recesses.
Second, I’ve heard good and bad about Diablo vs HP. What tuner is best recommended. My goal is to pull the best performance out of my rig while only adding an exhaust and cold air. Also, would both allow me to kill the mds, see and define codes, and program trans and cooling?
Thanks

Just go with a Magnaflow single exhaust catback,it'll actually scavenge the cylinders better then duals do.Hunt around and you should be able to find a better midpipe that doesn't have the squashed joint where the 2 pipes are welded into 1 pipe. You need an unlocked PCM to do any tuning on your 17,once you price everything out,you might change your mind about tuning it. MDS "does not" hurt the cam or lifters, they use oil pressure to deactivate the lifters, the lifters actually get more oil when the engines in 4 cylinder mode.
Only HP allows you to tweak any part of the tune yourself. Unless you spring for a custom tune, about all you get with a Diablo is their canned tunes, which in your case might not be all that bad,as you're not doing any actual mods.
You already have a pretty decent cold air intake,if you want hunt up the bigger lower box off an EcoDiesal or 6.4 truck, and run a good air filter, and no K&N does not make a good filter,so don't even consider their stuff.
