In a couple years, I'm looking to buy a Ram 1500 Crew Cab. I'm not for sure set on the Express, but it seems to have most of what I want for a great price. But I was wondering how comfortable the seats are. Are the "premium" cloth seats in the Big Horn/Lone Star more comfortable? Also haven't ruled out a Laramie with leather.

The worst seats I've ever experienced would have to be my stepmom's 2006 Chevy Impala LS (base model). It has the cloth bench seat, and it is only slightly better than sitting on a wooden bench.

The best seats I've experienced have been in my brother's 1998 Ford Explorer Sport. I drove that thing from Oklahoma to South Carolina, and I never had my butt go numb or have any back discomfort. They were just the regular cloth seats (with broken adjustment handle, lol).

My 1999 Jeep Cherokee had cloth seats that weren't great, but also weren't horrible. But now it has leather seats from a 1994 Grand Cherokee that are much more comfortable (but still not as good as my brother's cloth seats in his Explorer).

They're fine.

Not nearly as comfy as my '13 Cadillac SRX....

Also not as expensive.

I drive my truck on a lot of long trips (4+ hours) and I've never had a problem with the seats in my 12' express.

I drove my '11 Express all over, and my '13 Tradesman (same base seats) and they're fine.
My Dad is buying a "Big Horn" which has the premium seats, and I gotta say, I can't tell any difference in the seats, just the material used in the center section looks slightly less cheap (still looks cheap IMO).

Only the Sport / Laramie trucks have a different seat (boxier and more bolstered) from what I can tell.

Once you drive 2 hours in a UPS truck seat any seat would be comfortable lol

I think they are very comfortable, but I've only had my truck for a week, and probably haven't spent more than 30 minutes at a time driving.

One of my wife's friends used to have a mid 2000's Impala, and you're right, worst seats ever!

I think the most comfortable seats I have experienced were in a '13 Taurus SHO, and my buddies '12 Raptor. As much as I hate the new Camaros, I sat in a '13 SS, and it had damn comfortable seats too.

The headrest doesn't bother anyone? I tilt my head back the slightest bit and there's the headrest, just waiting to stop me. Only solution is to recline the seat. RAM should have made the headrests adjustable on the express. (Regular cab)

About a week after I picked up my 2011 Ram I did 1300 miles straight and I would have to say it was the most comfortable vehicle I have ever done that in. I have the cloth seats with the flip down center console.

Seats in my 2013 Express are very comfy.. We live in Socal, In-laws in Fresno.
We drive there 4-5 times a year.

Last trip my wife shocked me, She said "lets take your truck..It's more comfortable"
She has a 2013 Lexus GS350 lol.

I think she meant.. It's more comfy in the truck, cause I drive it haha.

2013 Express...very comfortable. First road trip was over 1000 miles non-stop when we moved to Wyoming...best ride of any truck I have ever owned.

I've got a 2013 Express... it's like riding a sofa down the highway.
