Extended Warranty Advice

I'm looking at buying extended warranty on my 2018 Laramie. I spoke with the dealer about the "factory" warranty as well as a company called First Canadian Protection Plans (FCPP). FCPP is cheaper ($100 deductible however) and begins from when you purchase it, not when the vehicle goes in service.

Does anyone have any experience with them and/or the Dodge factory warranty?

If you are going to purchase a service contract, stick with the plans provided by Mopar like the Added Care or the Max Care.

Aftermarket service contracts are a pain in the butt to deal with and they do not cover a lot of things. You may spend more money on a Max Care service contract but it will give you so much more in the long run.

Maxcare is the way to go. Three claims so far, and no hassles from the dealer. It’s literaly paid for itself and I haven’t even hit 55k miles yet... Maxcare also starts from day of purchase. I grabbed their 7 year unlimited mileage plan. They’ll keep paying mine out till July 30th 2023. They have different options for deductibles as well.

MaxCare seems to be only in the US. I think Chrysler Canada calls it something else.

If the warranty you are looking at isnt a chrysler plan, i should skip it. Keep in mind, this is nas ed on aftermarkets in the USA. Might ne different by you.
