I’ve read mixed reviews about the air ride in the winter/cold temps. Are there ways to help keep the system from failing/faulting? Heated garage, pull the fuse, Alpha OBD, air dry...
Deleting isn’t an option.

I have not had a single issue in three and a half years [knocks on wood] through North East winters. Have you had any failures yet?

Have not had any issues, BUT we used the hell out of it in the summer. Let is sleep till spring and repeat the cycle.
Yes it pops up like the TPMS system when its stupid cold out.

Had our old 13 Ram 5 years and GLAD to have the system on our Gen 5 2019 Rebel !!!

JUST like the E- brake system, summer only and REBUILT and lubed fixed in the spring.

STILL the BEST option from Ram !!! Thanks YOU Dodge !!!!!

Mine is a '17 as well, you'll likely be fine. As I'm sure you know, people tend to post issues/complaints rather than rave reviews.

Why we love it:

haul pellets, hay and toys. nice to lower it down.

Issues on the 13 was ICE build up on ride sensors, hence we checked before we went up or down in the stupid cold days.

13 to 19, 19 is faster and seems to be better then the 13.

Our first winter with this 19, so time will tell...............

Do not use entry/exit mode. When really cold the compressor struggles to bring the truck back up. I find mine drops a bit when it gets to be -20c or lower. Once I drive a bit things usually warm up enough to work properly again. I park it in or2 so if it lowers a bit it's still around normal mode height and I just set it to normal when I go to drive again so if anything it airs down which it has no trouble with in the cold vs trying to raise it.

Brought my 2016 1500 Limited in 2X under warranty for constantly adjusting height . After I wouldn't stop complaining, they found moisture in the system(I thought it was closed loop) and replaced the compressor. No issues, and they ate the $1100 compressor! I just wish someone would come up with a software disable for the MDS!
