I just had a oem back up camera installed at my local dealer today I have a RA2 u connect 5.0 radio that came with my bighorn which is the display for my cam at the moment until I'm ready to perform the upgrade to the 8.4 an in a couple of weeks .when I backed up for the first time I noticed that the display had no grid lines I was told by the dealer that they only show up on the larger screen radios is this true? if anyone that has or has had a similar setup and can chime in that would be greatly appreciated

I too have the 5.0 radio and grid lines. It's been a while since I went through the settings but like Booms said, I tend to remember the lines can be turned off and on.

You will find that in many cases there's an amazing number of Chrysler Techs and Service Writers have no idea what they are talking about. Its always best to do your own research. I'm suprised they even got it to work. I have seen many posts where the dealer gives up and says it can't be done. I am not saying all Chrysler techs are like this we do have some on the forum who are very helpful.

the tech that worked on my truck was a really nice guy the cam works great and the dealer did the install and charged me around 200 dollars less than other area dealers wanted plus they had me in and out in less than two hours . I'm Happy with it problem now is it makes me want to get the Ra4 now time to get me some overtime lol. I'm Glad it was as simple as a setting that needed to be enabled that was a plus

Get the RA4 you will think you are in a different truck. Huge upgrade
I will as soon as the funds are available lol and if you don't mind when I get all the parts for my setup if I could pm you if I run into any snags I'm not overly technical but I'm going to give it a try
