I just noticed that the factory receiver under the rear bumper says it is rated for 5000#. I have been pulling a 6000# trailer with load distibution hitch. Is this a NO,NO? If so does the factory have a heavier receiver?

That 5000 lbs rating that's moulded into the plastic is the rating for the bumper pull hole.
Most receivers also will have two weight ratings, when used with a WDH it's higher.
If you have the factory receiver, that is a Class IV rated. I think Ram states it's good for 12K lbs when used with a WDH.
If you have the OEM add on receiver, that one is Class III rated.
To determine which on you have look under the plastic plug in the bumper hole plug. There will be a large bolt going through that hole for the Class III. If you crawl under the truck, the Class III also has bolts on the backside, the Class IV is all welds
